Dear Unity of New York Community –
We have moved into 2016 with energy and enthusiasm about our ministry and what lies ahead. We’re excited about our plans for moving forward and we want to know:
Are you with us?
Here is our vision for 2016:
- A cost of living increase for our amazing staff.
- A bigger office and additional staff so we can do even more
- A Senior Minister
As you may have heard, our Board has decided to move forward with this vision as guided by the support of our congregation. That means we will commit to new spending only if we feel confident the resources will be there to support it.
We appreciate you and are grateful for your consistent giving. This is what keeps the ministry running! In knowing abundance for you and for Unity of New York, we want to take the leap of faith as we grow even bigger. For planning purposes, however, it is helpful to know we can count on you, our community, by joining our PLEDGE Drive in 2016 with your regular giving.
Will you join our Unity CommUNITY Pledge Partnership? This is not a “special appeal,” but rather a new way of looking at our regular giving.
Whatever amount you can pledge, weekly or monthly, will be added to our total which will then determine whether we move forward with the vision above.
You can pledge at ANY level, and starting at $10 per week we are offering benefits like discounts at local restaurants and at our Sunday bookstore!
If you’re new to Unity or to regular giving, please go to your heart and pray on what Unity of New York means to you and to the broader community. Consider what level feels right for you. Remember, every single pledge helps!
You can pledge any amount and you can choose to give weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. If possible, automatic payments by check are preferred (alleviating additional card fees for UNY) or by credit or debit card. You can also pledge to give the “normal way” on Sundays if that works better for you.
If you are not sure of your income, can you commit to a minimum amount? You can always add more to the Sunday basket when it comes around.
You are the light of the world. Together, we continue to shine in a world that needs our collective light. Won’t you please join us as we shine even brighter in 2016?
